We are beyond excited to be hosting Jess Ribeiro, an award-winning singer-songwriter at New Hall on Friday 9 August, with special guest Open Swimmer. Inspired by artists as diverse as The Velvet Underground to Dusty Springfield, she has been compared to the likes of Karen Dalton and Cat Power.

Ribeiro’s songs are cinematic in scope: it’s music that travels, across deserts like a Western, through city streets like Film Noir. Narrative and poetic, Ribeiro’s lyrics are rhythmic and evocative, conjuring images that are dimly-lit, but nonetheless electric. This second instalment of our four-part concert series, proudly supported by Regional Arts Victoria is sure to be yet another breathtaking evening at New Hall.
